I hope everyone is getting ready to enjoy some nice Easter weekend family time. Having said that it almost seems a bit sacreligious to mention Easter and the Sopranos in the same breath. But they both are happening this weekend! ..and for all you die hard Soprano fans..this Sunday evening brings us the long awaited new season premiere, Sunday evening, April 8th at 9:00 P.M. So put the little kiddies to bed and then settle down for some real “family” action.
According to Vern Gay at Newsday.com, it promises to be the best season ever. (see Vern’s review) Some of us Tony Soprano fans were beginning to get a little disheartened, after sitting through last season’s episodes..it was like old Tony was going soft on us or something, what with all the spiritual monk visions and all, and always worrying over his bad karma.
Carmela, meanwhile bored us to tears with her new found interest in cultural arts…. tripping in to Paris, to take in the sights and the louvre …who cares about culture within the context of the Soprano’s? ..that’s not why we watch! We want some real mob action.
We want to see some heads roll!…there’s people to pop or whack here!..we want Tony to embrace his good old bad boy self and the babes! ..get it?..action!
bada bing…bada boom! done.
Word has it that the next new Episodes (episode two and beyond) will be giving us back the old Tony… and then some! Episode one will set things up, so it may be somewhat dull and lagging in spots I’ve heard..be patient… word has it …H.E.E.E’S BACK!!!!!!
